Sometimes a game is just bad or not to someone's liking, doesn't mean that person should pirate it. there is no field/value/attribute that has a statistic like that for devs on p2p or other piracy ventures) ![]() It's not like it's going to increase it by a sale, but to the dev it looks like a purchase lost, regardless if that person intended on never buying it (i.e. ![]() I'm pretty certain, from a dev's perspective, piracy is not they are looking forward to. Not releasing a demo can sometimes become a deathwish. That's how it used to work, and I rarely pirated anything that I didn't like. I'm pretty certain I've had years of pirating things behind me, and as much as the devs might think that, it's always to their benefit to release a demo and/or beta that is accessible after launch. Every dime these small time devs make, the better chances of them working on their current release and even better chances at a future (and possibly better) game.įrom the devs' point of view, you pirating the game (with the intent of buying it if you like it) is objectively better than you never buying it in the first place out of concerns over the game's quality
